The tee for this short hole is sheltered from the wind by trees, but allowance must be made for the wind’s effect for there is no shelter from it in the latter half of the ball’s flight. A stiff cross-wind really emphasises the narrowness of the green and the proximity of its guardian bunkers. With the green slightly higher than the tee and the putting surface sloping from back to front, club selection can be tricky. Although the hole is played across the corner of a field, it is only a matter of concern to the novice.
