From the tee the fairway appears narrow, with a prominent bunker set into a mound on the right and trees on the left. In reality there is plenty of room beyond the bunker and the downhill slope of the fairway gives many yards of roll to the drive. Indeed, in summer with firm fairways, longer hitters may even drive as far as the upslope to the green itself. The raised green is attended by four bunkers and the putting surface is narrow towards the back of the green but, after a good drive, the approach will be played with a very lofted club.
