A genuine birdie or eagle proposition for the longer hitter, provided the drive is not pulled into either of the bunkers on the left of the fairway. Weaker players may find their drives finishing in a dip crossing the fairway and a sliced drive will probably perish in a deep hollow off the fairway to the right some 200 yards out. From a distance the bunkers over the last 100 yards on the run in to the green give the appearance of cross-bunkers, but the good player should clear these with ease while the high-handicapper can play short of them and still have no more than a short-iron to the green. This is a difficult green to putt, with a slope from back to front and a massive swing from right to left. Downhill putts are very quick and if the hole is cut on the front left of the green it is not unknown for players to putt off the green.
