NEW GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS
INFORMATION AS AT 11AM 31/7/2020
Stockport Golf Club is affected by the restrictions imposed by the government last night, the Clubhouse sits in Greater Manchester…
We are awaiting further information from the government which we are informed is due to be released around midday today. Therefore the following information could change, but for now our understanding is as follows:
1. Golf as we are currently operating is fine, no changes
2. The Clubhouse can open, but you cannot socialise (i.e. sit at the same table) with those you do not live with or share a bubble with.
3. Outdoors – very mixed information coming through, there is nothing in the current information about “beer gardens” specific to the “northern lockdown” though government guidance in this regard still exists and therefore until we know clear guidance otherwise, we will maintain our current outdoor policy
4. Locker Rooms – although we had intended to get these reopened next week, these will remain closed for now.
We are in the process of re-writing our policies and procedures and will distribute these as soon as we have finalised them, taking onboard information we hope to receive around midday today.
We will also update later today on our plans for how/if we accommodate events over the next few days, including the Mixed this evening, the Mixed on Sunday and the Wednesday Night Dining.
