New to Golf?

Starting golf might not feel easy – we are there to take you on the journey in our friendly and relaxed environment. We buddy you up with an existing Lady Member and she will be there to help you integrate, will be on hand to answer questions, introduce you to other Members and work with you to get your first handicap.

Our team of Professionals offer coaching sessions every Saturday morning which is a great place to meet other Ladies who are new to golf.

Why not start the journey with us by contacting Jayne Scowen on 0161 427 8369 (option 2) who works closely with the Ladies Section. Jayne will then arrange for our Lady Captain Karen to have a chat with you either by phone or even over a coffee at the Club.

You Count - You Matter

We have a varied program of events designed to accommodate the challenges of work-life balance that we all juggle; Ladies can enjoy Competitions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday with 7 Day Lady Members enjoying competitions each Saturday.

We have a mixed range of competitions; the winter focusses on more fun/team golf with the summer providing handicap qualifying competitions.

Throughout the main playing season, the Club offers a Wednesday Competition open to all Members. The Club has an active Mixed Section, with many Members always willing to partner up – Mixed Golf is a great way to meet other Members in a fun and social (and mildly competitive) spirit!

The Ladies Section take part in local leagues in which we play other Clubs both at home and away – we have a team dedicated to “Business Ladies” where matches are played at weekends.

It's more that just golf

There is a fun Social Diary for the Ladies Section of which the highlights are the Christmas Competition and Lunch (complete with reindeers) and the Lady Captains’ Weekend Away.

Stockport Golf Club has a fantastic range of events including Tribute Nights, Race Nights, Hog Roast and many more great events to bring your golfing and non-golfing friends along to.

The Clubhouse Restaurant, a place where you will always be greeted with a friendly face, enjoy great food, just relax with friends and watch the world go by.
